Offsite Storage Industry survey
TMS founder and Managing Director Brad McDonell undertook an extensive review of all Australian offsite service providers in 1990-1992, while working as Data Centre Manager / Disaster Recovery Consultant for Australia’s second largest insurance company CIC Insurance.
This review encompassed physical vault security, process and procedure, environmental storage conditions, contract conditions and software tracking.
The review recommended that CIC immediately remove the 10,000 media items from their existing provider and source a more IT focussed, professional service provider.
After further analysis of the international offsite storage industry, TMS was formed combining "best practise" of the Australian and major international providers.
